Climate Stories Project Educational Curriculum Now Available

Earth Rising is so excited to share that  Climate Stories Project has developed a comprehensive educational curriculum to engage students with personal and community responses to climate change through narrative, interviewing, and media creation.

This curriculum is the result of years of experimentation using climate storytelling in the classroom. Elements of the curriculum have been used by elementary, middle, high school, and university teachers in subjects including Climate Science, English, Fiction Writing, Communications, Social Studies, Dance, Visual Art, and others. The modules that comprise the curriculum can be used together or as standalone projects.

The Five Curriculum Modules Are:

  1. Understanding climate change through recorded stories

  2. Crafting and recording your own climate story

  3. Planning and conducting a climate story interview

  4. Developing and sharing climate stories through creative media

  5. Leveraging climate stories for positive change
