This past year, Earth Rising funds helped support the Benin Youth Climate Reporter Academy, with additional support from Arete Arts Foundation. The academy equips young journalists and climate activists with the skills they need to communicate climate issues effectively, engage their communities and contribute to a culture of climate action in Benin. 

Ecokids, Meg Wah’s flagship annual program, jointly developed and implemented by Meg Wah and Voice of Nature (VoNat), has run for five consecutive years, training more than 950 young climate ambassadors from the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon.

The Climate Mental Health Network is made up of community advocates focused on the emotional impacts of climate change. The network serves as a resource hub providing tools, programs and guidance for communities to better understand climate-related emotions and how these feelings influence well-being.

YEA! supports youth leaders in the Twin Cities and throughout Minnesota to take action for the climate. The initiative recognizes the disproportionate impact climate change has on low-income and BIPOC communities and works to support Minnesota youth climate leaders 

Across Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin, Faith in Place’s Eco-Ambassador Program is building a generation of environmental justice champions rooted deeply in community experience, cultural understanding, and real leadership development.

Care About Climate (CAC) has expanded its NDC Equity Tracker—a publicly accessible database that enables youth to critically engage with their countries’ Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).

The Youth Climate Leadership Summit is a youth-developed and youth-led program focused on breaking down the barriers local youth face in taking meaningful climate action.

San Diego 350’s Youth4Climate is a youth team that is building a movement to prevent the worst impacts of climate change and injustice. They work for a better future through education, outreach, advocacy and mobilizing other youths to take action.

YEPT’s mission is to amplify youth urgency on the climate crisis by supporting young people in producing journalistic content on climate and sharing it with their peers.
